Carolyn Fields, CPOA
Carolyn is a CPOA (certified para-optometric assistant), and has worked for Thomas Vision Clinic for over 22 years. She began her career as Front Desk Receptionist and has progressed and learned all aspects of the optical field. She now manages our Dispensary and Lab. She takes great satisfaction in helping others to look and see better. She is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 5.
Michele Owers – Optical Lab and Dispensary
Michele recently celebrated her 20th anniversary at Thomas Vision Clinic. Within that time, she has filled many roles – doctor’s assistant, receptionist, optical andlab technician, and now fills the role as our billing and insurance clerk, handling all insurance claims and patient accounts. She is certified in EPIC refraction, also.Michele enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Mike, her children, and her 3 granddaughters.
Diana Prewitt – Optical Lab and Dispensary
Having worked for our office for 8 years, Diana is part of our optical lab and dispensary staff. Diana enjoys having the opportunity to serve our community as well as being a part of a wonderful clinic. She is the mother of 4 and grandmother of 6.
Lisa Smith – Lead Doctor’s Assistant
Lisa has been with our office for 6 years and is our Lead Dr’s Assistant. Also, she is certified in Epic Refraction, OCT, and VEP. She loves being able to interact with our patients and the fast pace of our office. Lisa has been married to her husband Carl for 20 years, and they have been blessed with three wonderful kids, Amber, Halie, and Eli.
Collene Hilton – Doctor’s Assistant
Collene has been with the clinic for almost 7 years. She is part of the optical lab and dispensary staff. She is also certified in Epic Refraction, RTA, OCT, and VEP. She has been married to her husband and best friend, Dewayne, for over 33 years. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with him and her grandson Noah hunting, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Mary Midkiff – Patient Coordinator
Mary has been diligently performing the day-to-day tasks of our front desk since 2008. She feels that the highlight of her position is having the opportunity to get to know each of our patients on a first-name basis. She and her husband, Tony, have been married for 30 years. They have 3 wonderful boys and 4 beautiful granddaughters. Besides spending time with her family, Mary also enjoys cooking and being outdoors.
Jessica Gattis – Office Manager
Jessica has been with our clinic since May 2009. She is a 2008 graduate from Northwestern State University. Her paraoptometric certifications include: EPIC refraction, OCT imaging, and VEP testing. She strives on a daily basis to make sure that every patient experience exceeds their expectations. Jessica enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Jeff, spending time with family, road trips, and being outdoors.
Jessica Cochran – Billing & Insurance Specialist
Jessica has been in the medical profession for over 6 years, and joined Thomas Vision Clinic in 2012. With her experience, Jessica handles her front desk responsibilities with ease and accuracy. Her outgoing and friendly personality makes her a great first impression point-of-contact for our patients. Jessica is the mother of two boys, Mason and Bentlee, who keep her busy at home. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and horseback riding.
Kandiss Hood – Patient Coordinator
Kandiss has only been with us for just a few months, but already has proven herself an asset to our office. Her eagerness and willingness to learn everything she can about being a great Paraoptometric technician, is evident in her approach to patient care. When not going above and beyond for our patients, Kandiss enjoys spending time with her fiance, Michael, and her precious daughter, Kennedi.
Morgan Williams – Doctor’s Assistant
Morgan is the newest member of our staff. She is a 2012 graduate of Parkview Baptist School, and has a keen interest in the medical field. With her enthusiastic and strong work ethic, Morgan demonstrates every day her value to our office as a Paraoptometric technician. In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors.
